Clarification

Hello Suresh,

A lot depends on how your company treats these goods. In normal circumstances, expired goods received will be treated as Sales return, and hence the entry will be :

Sales return A/c Dr.
To Debtors / Cash A/c
 

Further, if your company throws these products away :

Goods Expired A/c
to Trading A/c

Or if your company sells these goods at a lower price :

Cash A/c Dr.
To Sale of Expired Goods A/c
