Dear All,
As per the RBI notifications i.e. “RBI/ 2011-12/288” , circulated on Dt. 02.12.2011, all Cheques / drafts / pay orders / banker's cheques presented will be valid for 3months with effect from April 1, 2012.

Now see the plight. IT refunds still comes by cheque nearly after 2 months from the date of issue. The cheque perishes immediately in our hands. thanks RBI.
