Charitable trust accrued interest exemption.

If a trust earned accrued interest on deposits but not received in the bank account. Is that interest taxable for the trust? Since that interest not actually received in the bank trust cannot apply it towards objects of the trust.

Interest income is shown on 26AS.

Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether accrued interest earned by a charitable trust, but not yet received in its bank account, is taxable. The core question is whether this interest, which cannot yet be applied to the trust's objectives, is subject to tax in the year it accrues or only when it's actually received. The presence of accrued interest on the 26AS form is noted, raising concerns about its exemption status.

Accrued interest is not exempted

Then it is taxable for the trust during the year of accrual ? Or taxable when the interest actually received & does not apply towards objects of the trust ?
