In the efiling section under log in -My account thereis a procedure to update records for Eamil chnges and password changes.
But no such facility is available for address change.
It says that for updating change of addrress one has to contact IT administartor.
The same proceedure as applicable for mail changes etc should be available for address change also.
to change the address, fill form 49A for PAN rectification and send to NDSL for rectification with documents and requisite fees.

If you want to change it you have to apply for PAN correction Form 49B
to change address fill in form 49 for change in pan details including address
Yah......What our Friends saying are correct, the address in the e-filing profile is that of the Address linked your PAN......To change this address you have file PAN Ammendment form Form 49B.
Just give an application of Address change to your Income tax office (jurisdication) along with address proof.

1) I think it is mandatory to change address but I have seen case of my frind that when he applied for change of address,his PAN no. was also changed and he faced inconvenience for filing return etc.
2) In my case ,my new address has been changed at website of Incometax & I am getting their letters. Should I apply for change of address ?
I think two addresses are maintained by IT Department. If you login to your account on https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and & clicks on My Account & then chooses 143(1)/Refund/154 Service Request &

So, the two addresses maintained are ITR address & PAN address.
So, my question is how ITR address can be changed? In My Account pull down menu Change Phone/E-mail is available but not provision for change in address?
So far I have been filing IT Returns with the help of my CA in Delhi but now I have moved to Bangalore. Currently, it is showing my CA's address in address field displayed when I click on Change Phone/E-mail (& this field is not changeable) but now I want to change it to my Bangalore address.
How can I view My PAN address?
