CGTMSE (Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises) is a Government of India scheme that enables MSMEs to obtain business loans of up to ₹5 crore from banks without providing collateral or third-party guarantees. It acts as a safety net for lenders, encouraging them to finance small businesses by providing a guarantee for 75–85% of the loan amount in case of default.
