Cfa level 1 declaration in form 108 ?

If you are doing any other course along with your articleship, you have to take permission fr the same from the institute in form 112.

 

Since you registered for CFA during your articleship, you have to seek permission for the same

Thanks ankit for your reply.. As I've already cleared my CFA level 1 is it a problem if I submit form 112 now ? Also in form 108 is anything required to be mentioned regarding CFA ?

You are welcome Arpita, Ideally, since you were required to file for the consent, , to keep your record clean, just file it with a covering letter saying that out of inadvertence, you have not applied for the consent, and you are doing so now. No I don’t think this is required in form 108

Form 108 has a column as "summary of professional (and other) training programmes attended by student" am I supposed to fill cfa particulars here ?

No…that only pertains to the training programmes….such as the refresher courses etc… This is a full time education course.hence, form 112 is to be filed. It is better to write a covering letter and file it…you may face a problem while applying for the membership of ICAI…since this is to be declared in the form 2 for applying for the membership Just write a simple letter and file it…along with the form…so that in future you have a record.

hello arpita,
ACtually u need to fill form 112 and submit it within 30 days of registering for a course.
as u have co,pleted the same i would suggest dnt fill form 112 as it would be a complication.
You should have filled it in the month of jan or dec itself..
I guess ur certificates would b delayed by the proportionate time in which delay has happened in notifying the institute about the course ur pursuing
Its not correct but i feel institute will delay in issuance of certificates
