Is cenvat credit available on custom duty paid on import of lifts from china. The company is building a commercial complex and lifts will be installed in it.

Yes, the credit of duty can be availed. The credit can be availed on the basis of "bill of entry". Bill of entry is used as an Invoice.
No, Customs Duties & Its Cess'es are not eligible to take as Cenvat Credit under Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004.
only the "CVD" & "ADI" only eligible to take as Cenvat Credit.
