I have cancelled the registration in Feb 2019. But until now I have not got the cancellation order.
I visited department but as per them they are not getting the option to cancell the registration.
whether my registration will be suo- moto assume to be cancelled after 30 days?
whether I will have to file return untill the cancellation of registration is confirmed by the department?
kindly solve my query?

Even I'm facing the same problem.
We have submitted FORM GST REG 16 ( Cancellation Form ) on 04.04.2019. But till date, no cancellation order came from the department. 46 days elapsed from the submission date and the status is still showing "Pending for Processing".
Should we visit the department ???

yes, take the application and keep one receipt copy with you as proof
The application of cancellation will not be accept suo moto its depend up on officer
No need to file return. I don't know circular or notification but in August 2018 Piyush Goyal had tweeted that once application for cancellation is filed, no need to file gst return.
