hello friends the thing is that i m PE-ii cleared student... nw i have registered for final on 16 NOV 2009,,,,could ne 1 plz tell when wil be my first attempt for ca Final ...is it nov 2011 or may 2012????

The above dividend is comes under section 115-0 of the Income Tax Act.In that case domestic Company is required to pay CDT(Corporate dividend Tax @ 15% plus Cess and Surcharge), thats why this dividend is exempt in the hands of receiver because it is already tax in Comapnies hand.

Yes it is absolutely right It is already taxed in company hands and hence further taxation is not required. Dividend Received from Domestic Companies is exempt U/s.10(34) of Income Tax Act, 1961

yeah we need not pay any tax on divedend income earned from indian company as it is already given by company in form of cdt @ 16.995%
