Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether funds derived from selling inherited shares in 2014 can be transferred to a Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) as capital. The original poster used these proceeds, along with a loan, to purchase an apartment, which is still being paid off. They are seeking clarification on the tax implications of gifting these inheritance proceeds to their HUF, especially since the apartment hasn't been sold.

Yes, certainly.

Thanks a lot for the quick response.Sabyasachi

Will there be any issue from tax department that, shares proceeds was used to buy flat, and it is not sold yet, just given as advance, but that amount is now shown as inheritance proceeds to deposit/gift as HUF proceeds.
