I fail to file my itr of ay 17-18 on 31.03.18 can I file it now ??

You can filled

If Income Tax Notice received related to F.Y. 2016-17 ( A.Y. 2017-18 )

Otherwise no option to filled return related to A.Y. 2017-18

No...a belated return can be filed anytime before the end of the relevant Assessment Year (AY).

If your income is more than the taxable limit and required to file the return of income as per income tax act please pay tax which is liable to pay and submit a hard copy to income tax department of ITR to avoid Best Judgement Assessment and Penalty Procedure.

Kaushal jain plz note.... earlier belated return can be filed with in one year from the end of relevant assessment year but it can be filed before the end of relevant assessment year that is 31-03-2018

If you have refund then you should give application to your IT ward officer for condonation of delay u/s 119(2)(b). Once permission is granted your ITO will upload request .you can file the return . GO TO MY ACCOUNTS SERVICE REQUEST THEN CONDONATION REQUEST - i THINK IF IA AM NOT WRONG.

Draft letter is attached. If you can find a better drafted letter on net plz use the same.
