First u go to the BOS and tell ur problem to them. Then do what they suggest.

thanks for ur advice....on monday i would go to institute & try to find out the solution....But y this CA do these? I mean when i have worked so hard for him still they feel that my performnace is not upto the mark???jab chaha tab nikal diya???How can they play with someone's career?

This is the serious issue, we have to balance the study and articleship in tandom.But  in the city like mumbai the work load would be high and there is dead lne for completion of the work. That is a boss point of view. your point is very valuable since there is no balance between study and work.How can a boss tell  not up to the mark even after exploiting the maximum ?

There is no compromise, we all have to raise a complaint againt such  CA. This is a single case, there are many CA are careless about their articled clerck future.

i am also in favour of what is going wrong with....preeti....we should raise voice aganist this type od ca's, who exploit the students.................

preeti...this is not only with your boss,.....there are many other ca present.....who only see abt there benefit.....they only want that there work is done...and they do least care abt students....

This kinf of things are really very bad in the profession of CA.........and This is the work of only old CAs who are torturing their article. Why they cannot understand that they cannot run their office at the shoulders of articles..............please appoint the new accountants and let free your artcles..............I recommend a very strict action against these members.........

Rightly said by Tilak............The institute has to take  matter of the office timing of the Articled clerck...........they never be expolited like this............. it should also be include in the ethic of CA. CA taking the leverage advantages of the articled clerck................ The Ca firm never be viewed as a machine for a CA student.

I also had the same kind of situation. In fact worse than yours but before this rule came i took transfer. Now i have mailed to the president, vice president & the chairman of the region about the problem i faced. Its been a week but they are not even bothered to reply. If you go to institute then they would say to compromise or cool down the matter. I can bet on that because i have the same experience. I guess the only way to make our voice reach thier is by taking the help of media. ICAI is totally Member oriented. They are not ready to consider the problems faced by students. My advice would be to approach the media. The President claims that he is worried about students then why isnt he replying or taking any actions? According me Its all SHOWOFF. Only media can open their their eyes & ears!!!

The Institute is an organisation and  the Members become the unit of that organisation.What is the position of a student? They canot take any action against anyone  becasue the major aim of a CA is his wealth maximization thery by rushing behind the work and utilizing the Articles to the Maximum one part of it would got to the Articled.

Secondly, the President is always be out of station. Thirdly they have many other mails and  this type of complaint mail is too common for them.

Solution.

Union is the stenth( where the system fails there power arise) All the deprived student must be  with these type of malpractise.Organise by your self. Make  such CA  to be exposed in front of media....then all the rule would come automaticaly.For your benefit better organise together and never give up untill the fullfillment of the right.

Well Preeti, Adverse comments will not affect your career in any way.... Dont worry about that.... And Chintan is right..... Those %^#%^( sitting at the ICAI council dont care about our career...

But it certainly helps if we complain personally....... Do go preeti..... N speak to Mr. Razak... And give the complaint in writing....

And ya, Chintan is right about media... But I feel we should tell some non CA friend of ours to instead bash up that CA...... Serves him right....

You are very right that President is always busy but the secretary of president reads such mails & forwards it to the members who specially looks into such things. However that member has also not replied. Just now i have mailed to bos-noida. Their response has been very fast when i had certain other queries. So lets see what happens.

Rearding union there is something called CASA(Chartered Accountant Student Association) in different regions. But the pathetic thing is that the charman is a member of ICAI !!!

Now how can we expect anything such as union??? Other thing is that an articled assistant is always busy whther in office or in coaching classes. Who has the time to protest.?

If you all remember the CPT papers were leaked & ICAI took re-test. At that time many students opposed infront of mediabut who took notice of it?

I think approach to media would be proper only if you have some sort of contacts with them. Media would support only if either you have some good contacts or you show some aggresiveness & make all this a very big issue.

If media takes a survey of CA students than only the ICAI authorities will realise about the seriousness of the problem.

In the end i have just one suggestion THINK POSITIVE!!!

Thanks to all for showing your concern...I would certainly go to the institute to find out the solution.But the main thing which hurtme was that when institute says that the articleship timing should be between 9.30 to 5.30 why all articles should hesitate in demanding their right to leave after 5.30? When I fought for my right to then such a thing happens!!!!Is it my problem that u dont have sufficient staff or high workload.There are many instances when I reached at 10.15 or 10.20 instead of 10.00. Immmediately he always asked that y r u so late?Every time I said sorry to him!! If he expects me to come on time then Cant I expect him to leave on time??Whenever I reached at 10 or at 10.15 in morning I found no one else except him & me & some times I found sweeper coming for seeping at that time.So, even if the office has just got opened & that sweeper just sweeps the floor & I wait till she sweeps the floor...its ok But if I get late by 10 to15 minutes he immediately asks the reason for being late....This is ridiculous!!!! 

One day, what happened?I was at client site.I was there since 10 in morning till 5.30 in eve working each & every minute to complete his audit report.Its a bank audit.So at 5.00 all staff leaves except branch manager & some officers.So, at 5.30 I usually leave from bank to reach classes at &. He called me up at 5.30 & says that u wait & bunk ur classes today as I want to discuss 3 audit report with barnch manager . I was so angry...I mean the whole day was there..He did not get the time & now since he got free he wants me to bunk my classes!!! I immmediately said that no sir I would be leaving in 15 minutes.I have my classes, I cant bunk it.If u want I would put the files on desk & on that he got very angry & told me that u speak very rudely & dont have basic manners & u hadpromised me that u would shift ur classes from eve to morning....& bla bla bla

I mean how much should I bend?? I m already having very high qualification than others which I never showed off to any one. I greet him when I come to office & inform himwhen I leave..I say sorry to him if I dont know anything which I am supposed to know...I  m rude just because I demand my rights confidently!!!!  And above all I am a good performer as compared to other staff in his office.

When I joined this firm, I was new to Bank audit  but for a day he gaveme 6 7 pages on bank audit to read & on the next day he sent me on bank audit with a senior. He never taught me a single thing of   bank audit & expected me to preapare a bank audit report for him!!! I did it without uttering a word.

Still what I got in return???A GREAT REWARD I should say.....
