3 hours is enough for this subject, just study throghly whole subject once and then revise it twice before exams. I will prwfer you to study this sibject at morning and evening/night time do practical subject in afternoon. try to learn, understand and write. Purchase a spiral diary and make some short notes in it which will help you to revise this subject before exam.

Business and Commercial Knowledge is the subject given by ICAI in order to understand the Business languages

Earlier it was macro economics in CPT but now it's another subject in foundation.

In order to study Business and Commercial Knowledge you must be updated to the financial news on a daily basis.(it's mentioned in the first page of the book itself)

For a CA student the elements like stock exchanges,supply chain,top public and private companies,mutual funds etc it's very important for students because it's called COMMERCE.

A Computer student should be special in computer and softwares. A science students should be special in human body and biology.

And for commerce students the knowledge of stock exchanges,supply chain etc.. should be in his blood.

So be updated with financial news daily.

Start every lesson and read line by line if you are going to coaching class well enough ask the guru for any doubts if you are a non coaching then Google and Wikipedia will help you.

After Completing every chapter try the mock test paper given by ICAI.

Last But Not Least - Mugging up of chapters will not help in CA. You need to understand line by line.
