Actually ICAI claim to be doin step wise checking for a long time in practical subjects.In theory,they never award marks on the basis of some points or steps.

I missed by 3 marks from clearing both groups and when I applied for copy of my answer sheets,I came to the conclusion they never award step wise marks in theory,they award 3 marks for good written answer in theory,Zero marks if they find slight indifference from ISCA sm language,Step wise marking is done in practical subjects.Moreover you have no option if your answer is correct but marked incorrect which happened to me in my accounts paper

Yeah , was a victim of that in the last attempt .... no clue what they thought was wrong in the Law Qn on Sole Selling agent ! :-/ It was a simple calculation & wrote all the theory points also.... what to do :-/

Dear Sandeep, let's be positive..i also could not qualify in my last attempt...but i dont think it's so..let's be positive. It's not that all rankholders are the near and dear ones of the ICAI.They are also students like us.
