is there any rule that we can give final exam after 2 years of articleship?
if yes,than what time should someone start as an article assistant to give exams in november 2014?
we have to finish 2 years on the date of exams or on the date of filling up the form?
if anyone joining articleship after clearance of both or First group of IPCC then he/she can appear for CA final after completion of 2 year article ship..
As per my knowledge, for IPCC registered students we have to complete 2.5 years of training before we attempt for final. plz correct me.

CONSIDER FOLLOWING EXTRACT OF ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CA FINAL EXAM :-

3.1 Eligibility |

1. The candidate must have passed the Intermediate/ PE-II Examination. 2. The candidate must have obtained Final Course registration number from Board of Studies Section of the concerned decentralized office of the Institute after passing the Intermediate/ PE-II Examination. 3. The candidate must have completed the practical training as is required for admission as a member or is serving the last twelve months of practical training on the first day of the month in which the examination is scheduled to be held: and |

NOTE: The candidate is advised in his own interest to satisfy himself/herself that he/she is re-registered immediately for training for the excess leave period if any, as on the date of filling up the examination form and before the commencement of examination (as applicable). In other words a candidate must have either completed the training or must be in service as on the first day of the month in which the examination is to be held and the balance period of training must not be more than twelve months including excess leave, if any. |
so what you mean is 2 years need to be completed before the 1st of may/nov whichever attempt it is.
i am getting some mixed answers.the guy above you said 2.5 years?

Its for PE-2 or Inter course and not for the IPCC scheme. For IPCC students, the exam can be written only on the last 6 six months of articleship
dont worry about this
u r eligible for ca-final when u have completed ur 2 years of articleship excluding the period of leaves
peehu, for ipcc students one can attempt for final only during the last 6 months of training which means after 2.5 yrs and not 2 yrs.

For IPCC Students, Eligibility criteria for appearing in CA-final exam is completing 2.5 years of Articleship first.For others, i dont know..This is 100% true as i have clarified it through e-sahayata of ICAI..
e.g A student who has registered himself as an article on or before 31st Oct. 2011 can appear in May 2014 exam..Or a student who has registered himself on or before 30th April 2012 can appear for Nov 2014 exam..I hope u r clear with the eligibility rule now.

One Laymen Style:-
Suppose Given Exam of IPCC in May 12 & Cleared Either First Group or Both Then Eligible for May 15 Exam of Final Provided Articleship of 2.5 Years to be Completed & IInd Grp of IPCC to be Cleared in Between That if Pending so.
I mean Count Three Years Correct From IPCC Passed Attempt.
