a).if there are 6 trees in a row,then no. of ways 5 students can be arrange between 6 trees to take a photograph?

ans:120.

b).the no. of ways that the team of 11 players to be selected from 15 players in which one particular player is excluded?

ans:364.

1. There r 5 places between 6 trees where the students can be arranged. So,using the formula 5 places can be filled by 5 students in 5P5 ways. i.e 5!/(5-5)!=5!=5*4*3*2+1=120 2. One player is always excluded,so we have to select 11 players from 14 players by using the formula 14C11.=14!/(14-11)! *11! =364
