In my opinion I use to reconcile everything in excel viz., Drs,Crs,BRS etc.,etc. Any accounting package willbe downlaodable in excel. So the Ledger in case of Crs,Drs (with full details) can be (export - if its tally) extended to excel spread sheet. We can open a column as tag to mark contras. Even in that also you can make much more clear like c1,c2 and so on ,so that it can be filtered and find out the correctness/index it and whatever manner u want u can do it. In case of Brs we can export the Bank transaction in excel and index it amount wise so that based on the statement u can tick or mentioned the dt of realisation etc., ofcourse again it ahs to be incorporated in the orginal tally datas but it saves a lot of time and clear. We should always keep the downloaded sheet as original and copy to thenext work sheet & do our exercise since the advantage is u can come back to the orginal at any [point of time since if any mistake happen while doing again u hv to do the whoe exercise.
