Break of articleship

I joined my articleship on 1st feb, 2013 and i want to know that as per the rule of free transferability in the first year of articleship, till when can i take transfer wth out seperate permission of icai. if i take a break or termination from articleship then when shall the one year be considered to be completed as in in completion of 12 months of training or on 1st feb 2014........ To clarify further, if i leave articleship in dec, 2013 ie after 10 months and join sum other principal in april, 2014 then shall i be considered in the first yr of articleship as i hv only done only 10 months of articleship........
