Break during articleship

Hello Friends,

I have a doubt which is very urgent.

I have completed 2years of my articleship, & now i want to do industrial training, but the problem is my exam is in nov & if i join industrial training no one will allow me leave immediately. So, is it possible that i take Form 109 from my current employer & immedaitely submit it with the institute, but join industrial training after 6-8 months?

In short, i want to ask if i take transfer from my employer after completion of 2years but join another company after 6-8 months? Can i do so or not?

Ply reply me as soon as possible, as this is very urgent.

Thanks and Regards

Hey, I suggest you to contact the Institiute itself of post your query in E-Sahayata section in ICAI website.

No you cannot...

I have posted my query in E-Sahayata but didnt get any response.. frown

If it is that urgent try visitng the nearest chapter and get your query personally...there is no other better way.... But I dont think you can take a break now and continue your industrial trianing later on.

Ok thanks to all..

Dear Khushboo,

You can take a transfer now and register for your industrial traning after 6 months. There are no restrictions on the same. But there is a fine for the late registration, and the gap in between will be counted as a leave taken during your articleship period. But, it wouldnt be having a good impact on you CV. Try getting into a Company where you can take atleast 3-4 months of leave( though it's a very rare case) and prepare for your Final's during these period. If you can find a company where you have some contacts with the top level managment, then the said portion of leave will be a good bet. Hope you find this information useful.

Thank You.
