Bogus expenses

supposedly I have put hire charges on car rental and tds deducted under section 194 C and made payment through bank and proper tax invoice received
do I need to make affidavit to support the same.?
as these expenses are bogus so affidavit is mandatory so that in further assessment it would not cause any issue.

my opinion is if I had made payment by cheque so we need not to take affidavit

Quick Summary
The user is questioning whether an affidavit is necessary to support car rental expenses where TDS was deducted under Section 194C, even though payments were made via bank with proper invoices. They are concerned about potential issues during future tax assessments if such documentation is missing, despite their belief that an affidavit might not be required when payments are made by cheque. The core question is about the mandatory nature of an affidavit from an assessment perspective to avoid future problems.

No need to took the affidavit

but in assessment will it not cause any problem? because in further assessments extensive documentation is required to justify. so confirm it once from assessment prospective.
