Download the data of returns and analyse and build your own portfolio. There is another method regression modelling and other optimisation simulations.

It can be done on any one dependant variable and independent variables. The output tells how an independent variable will impact dependant variable. It’s easy to interpret as well on excel.

Forgot about another method, choose the stocks beta of a company whose total weighted beta is not more than 1. This is another way I remembered.

I can give you one solution so that you can select good stocks just from the NIFTY50 which have provided good returns and at the same time you would have received good amount of dividends. Go to Google and search for the NIFTY50 Value 20 index. Choose the result which displays the official NSE page and copy the list of stocks from their factsheet and excel sheet. The index only chooses stocks from the NIFTY50 index which is the flagship index and only those stocks are selected which present a value offer. This strategic indice has defeated NIFTY50 by a handy margin and also offers lower volatility which in turn decreases the risk.
