Avoid writing p ltd

In case of Company, the name should be provided without any abbreviations. For example, different variations of 'Private Limited' viz. Pvt Ltd, Private Ltd, Pvt Limited, P Ltd, P. Ltd., P. Ltd are not allowed. It should be 'Private Limited' only.

likewise always write 'LIMITED' in place of 'LTD'.

Above should be followed in any form or document and even in address line.

Dear Nimesh,

For PAN application, as per instructions given by  CBDT, In case of Company, name should be provided without any abbreviations. For example, different variations of 'Private Limited' viz. Pvt Ltd, Private Ltd, Pvt Limited, P Ltd, P. Ltd., P. Ltd are not allowed. It should be 'Private Limited' or 'Limited' only.

I recommend to file name change application in all statutory registrations, if someone used abbreviations for "Limited" and "Private Limited' words.

For PAN application this may be true as suggested by DM sir with reference to CBDT circular.

But for other purposes short form is very much allowed. So there is no issue at all and don't get confuse.
