Any body deal with excise officer but  Authorised person can sign any document related with excise.

It is for the company to decide as to who will deal with excise department on his behalf. It is authorised a person (called authorised person) to deal with the department. It is authorise a professional like CA or a CS or a Consultant to deal with them. It can autorise an Advocate to deal with them by signing a wakaltnama.

Further, there is no restricition that only one person has to be authorised. Different persons can be authorised for different purposes.
