Even if your income may be below exemption limit, advisable to file return.

Also keep evidences ready for any such credits.

REFERENCE THE INDIAN EXPRESS NEWSPAPER OF 23.01.2019 - The income tax department through data analysis has identified several “potential non-filers” who have engaged in high value transactions but have still not filed their income tax returns for assessment year 2018-19 (relating to financial year 2017-18). The department has asked the non-filers to file the income tax returns or submit online response within 21 days, failing which the department will consider legal action.

Sir , I have recieved my salary in N.R.I Account which is less than exemption limit in foreign currency , I dont want to file I.T Return , I want to only file compliance , what I have to mention in compliance?

what have you done ? I also received the same

I Filed compliance that I am A NRI and earned out of India and the income recieved in my NRE account from which I make investment and expenditure , Therefore I am not liable to file Income Tax Return .

Hi, my situation is also similar. I'm also an NRI and all my income is not earned in India. I transferred some funds from my NRE account to other saving account and made some deposits.

Since these are all foreign income, do I need to file ITR ?

Even if I file ITR, do I need to pay any tax ?

I'm retired government servent and derive income from pention,FDR and regularly filing form no 15 H.
