Give  numbering to each individual assets department,team,area wise and keep a register of such ( means area where particular numbered asset was kept and person rensponsible,authorised to handel,maintain it)

Yes,,

you can assign number to each individual assets department wise and no of assets wise like there is 5 nos of Table in A/c department, where table no. 03 is under Mr. XXX
then numbering can be in dis way
Table/A.c.& fin/03
you can use sticker on each individual asset for recognition..... and u can right the name of person responsible for this in your register maintained againist particular assets

give item no for each individual asset , date of purchase,code no, location of the asset,date of installation,acquistion and erection charges, borrowing costs,depreciation based on  shifts and block of assets.
