IF I WANT TO PAY FOR THIS CHALLAN NUMBER 280 WHICH ASS.YEAR NEED TO SELECT, WHETHER 2009-10 OR 2008-09?

It cannot be ,what is the financial year /previous year ?

Few places it will appear only year just like AY-2009 which means AY starts from April 2009..So it is AY-2009-10
