Am sorry Sandeep but I do not wish to take a Dummy certificate and Ruben is right, neither will my Principal agree to that.

Mitsu, That is really a good initiative and am mailing right away.

Because I do not understand why ICAI would have a problem if I and my Principal both agree to my changing the Firm.

Also would it help if my Principal writes to the ICAI stating that he doesn't want to continue with me for Articleship in his firm. i.e He is not content with my level of work and hence wants me to leave.  Can I, under those circumstances take a Transfer ?

Hello Friends.

Am Harsh. I am undergoing Articleship at present. I am know about the new rule which restricts students to change firms unless its Medical / Parent Transfer case.but i do not have medical issues nor are my parents Transferring. But I want to take transfer from one city to another city i.e., from pune(mh) to gulbarga(ka), my parents are in gulbarga and i want to do remaning articleship gulbarga. what is the procedure to take transfer? i have finished my 28month articleship..

Please  dont do this.The same problem I too have faced it. I too have confirmed this from institute as well as form my principal.Why do u want ur principal to write to institute that he is not content with ur work? I mean this is like saying AA BAIL MUJE MAAR.SEe, ultimately its ur image that would get spoiled by showing that u r not performing upto the mark. The only thing u can do is that tell ur principal to shift u in another firm by secondment or try to get dummy under him & then go to the other firm as an employee...If he doe s not agree to give dummy..then do the work with DADAGIRI.

 i agreed with preeti.... But see preeti lot of students are affecting by this new rule... all of them are seeking their individual happiness and their own safety..... some measures has to take rectify this or to ammened this new rule..... Most of the person will not like dummy..... they need to get good exposure form varoius ways..... Don't discourage the person like mitsu to take measure againt the new rule...

I am planning for the secondment for 1 year. I will gain the necessary exposure in that way.

But I have one more question with concerns me and a lot of fellow CA students I know.

Say for Example, If a Principal is not happy with a Article Assistant (For any reason/ Personal dispute/ etc), Can He/She complaint against the Student/Assistant to the ICAI ?

If yes, then what are the consequences ?

When I said DADAGIRI..I meant to say Fighting for ur rights as an article.PLs dont take it in another sense.What I mean to say is when the institute said that timing should be between 9.30 to 5.30.Y dont u all sit late night? If ur principal doesnt agree to it.u have to make him follow by just saying sorry sir i cant work late night as i need to study .I would come 2morrow & try to complete ur work.Thats all I wanted to clarify
