Even i would like to know, whether exam leave are paid leave or not?

no.. exam leaves are not paid leave.... no article receives any penny for exam leave..... though there may be few exceptions to this...

& yes i DO agree with Tribhuvan sir.... thr r exceptions...... my frnd took leaves of 7 mnths for final & he got stipent for that period also

& actually it is logical also... y would sm1 pay us if we r nt providing them any benefit.. even if we r ON ROLL

@ priyansh...they do benefit a lot from us...pay us just 1500 n bill clients over a lakh...anyway...Thanku 4 d answer :) ...although disappointed

am an article at a big 4 and I got paid my usual stipend throught my leave period

Guys, throughout life we had paid to get knowledge...Articleship only duration when we get paid alongwith learning....Dont consider income earned during articleship can change ur life else wouldnt termed as Stipend.......Dont compare the stipend with the fees of client bcoz if you will not do the work some one else will definitely do it for your principal...If stipend really matter go for big4 they pay good stipend.....but can we get there is also a big question....

Dont run after money...make money run after you...learn..learn..learn..pass

stick to the basics do empathize with the mere stipend, but should be at least enough to cover ur transportation n one time meal What ur earning is Knowledge worth of which you can only determine. Learn as much now, u will earn as much... in near future bro

Hi all,

Is there any Institute guideline which stipulates that stipend need not be paid during exam leave?

To my understanding an Article is entitled to 180 days of Leave during the course of articleship, exceeding which the leave is unpaid.

Also, since the institute does have power to call upon for our bank details to check for dummy articles and payment of  stipend, wouldn't the exam leave have to be a paid leave??

Kindly confirm my understanding.
