Articleship-Period Reduction to 3 Years

Articleship 3290 views 17 replies

Has there been any update on the planned reduction in the Articleship period for the students who have enrolled for the 3 1/2 year requirement. I last heard that there was high level commitee of the Institute that is considering reducing the period to 3 years and thereby making it uniform for all.

Please give your views or comments or any information you may have in this regard.

Thanks

i mailed to ICAI. and got reply as below

Dear Student,
The Institute constituted a Study Group for considering issues relating to permitting CPT students to appear in CA Final Exam during the last six months of their articles and reduction in the period of articles for PCC students from 3½ years to 3 years on 1st July, 2009. The Group’s recommendations and approval of the Council are awaited. Thereafter, if need be, the regulation might also require amendment for which approval of the Central Government would also be required.

one thing for sure.if i think like jose only. students ke khilaf wale rule ka central govt. itne jaldi manjuri de sakta hain? then why the good thing is taking too long.

ICAI must have done this permission thing secretly; otherwise students would have revolted by writing to central govt.

i request all of you to send mail to the ICAI ,so that it will notify the committe decison soon

PLZ PROVIDE  THE MAIL IDs TO WHICH OUR REQUESTS SHOULD BE SENT

See in institute website there is post your ideas icon. In that i think you can mail.

Ideas @ icai.org

Thanks kaya for the valuable information given. I have mailed through our institute website. however get me the email id in which you have mailed.

It would be fair to reduce the articleship period to 3 years. Therefore on par with IPCC & PE II students...
