The regulation 59 & 74 of rules regarding leaves read as under..
During the period of articled training an articled assistant shall earn leave at the rate of one-sixth of the period for which he has actually served excluding from such period, the period for which he has been on leave subject to a maximum of 180 days.
so how many days of leave are we entitled to in 3 yrs articleship...?

Hey can u please help me.. in calculation of the total leave taken, suppose i m leave on friday, saturday, sunday and monday.. the leave should be 2 days or 4days...
Thanks kaya . . . but in the new course we have articleshhip of three and a half year so how do we calaculate our leave.. . how much are we elgible then???

Can someone tell me whether for leave calculation do we also have to consider sundays and other weekly holidays during the exam leave???
Can u please tell me from where u got this illustration. Is this notified from Institute. My pricipal is not allowing me to exclude holidays . Please tell me the source of this calculation.
weekly holidays during service period are to be excluded from leaves.....
(i.e. are considered as period served)
but the same during leave period are considered as leaves.
Hey Kaya a little bit of Confusion
please help me
Suppose there are 3 cases (each one is separated by comma)
total Period (365*3) 1095, 1095, 1095
Leaves taken 0,50,105
Actual Period Served 1095, 1045, 990
Leaves Entitlement 182.5, 174, 165
Balance Leaves 182.5, 124, 60
Now in above cases if u notice actual available leaves are different in all three cases
in first case it is 182.5 (0+182.5) , 174 (50+124), 165 (105+60)
Why so ???
If u dont get my point take it in simple way the eligible leaves in a three yrs period of articleship period are 182 (1095/3) but if i take 182 days of leaves then according to ur calculation i m geting excess leaves of 30 days
1095 ( i.e. 365*3) - 182 = 913 ;
Entitled leaves 913* 1/6 = 152
So excess leaves are 182-152 = 30
Please clarify
