Articleship is a challenge for job holders

Articleship 682 views 2 replies

Dear All,
I am Kalpesh Pawar, I have completed B.Com from Pune university in 2008 and MBA in HR in 2010. Currently I am doing a Job as a recruiter in a consulting firm.
I always wanted to do CA since my college days but could not pursue it due to personal reasons. Now I want to start it afresh.
I have completed B.com with 1st class. I believe as per the new rule , 9 months of practical training (article ship) is mandatory which is a basic criteria to qualify for  IPCC  Exam.
I can’t leave my job for minimum 2 years as I also need to support my family.
Please suggest me a suitable option which can help me to appear for IPCC without any practical training.
e.g.  ICWA/CA candidates who have passed respective entrance exams can appear directly for IPCC?
I really need an expert advice. Please help.

Hi Sir, You can go through the CPT route to start with CA. In this case first you have to register for CPT and write the exams after 9 months and on clearing that you can register for IPCC where you have a study period of 9 months again after which you can write the exams, here you need to join for articleship only after clearing Group-1 or both the groups of IPCC.  However if you want to go for IPCC directly there is no other option but to go through the 9months article training upfront.

Hello Divya,

Is it necessary to write CPT exam after 9 months only ? If I would like to give it before 9 months then what is the process?

I want to enroll for nov 2013 CPT exam. am I eligible for same?

Regards

Kalpesh
