Hi I am Chetan,

I have completed my articleship on records for the period of 3 years as on 17/08/2014. During the period of A.S. I have taken total Leave of 11 months. As leave of 6 months is allowed, my excess leave came to 5 months. However at the time of filing and Taking sign on declaration of articleship needed for CA final exam Nov-2014 attempt, my principle refused to sign by saying that he will sign only if I give him commitment of 1 year of service irrespective of fact that my excess leave is just for the period of 5 months. Later he signed my form without calculating any leave. Now when I am asking him to fill articleship completion letter he is avoiding to give letter. Please assist me on above to avoid delay beyond 180 days to fill letter of completion.

It is sad that you worked for an employer for 3 years and still you could not create a mutual understanding with him.

Don't worry much and just work extra for a few years. There will be no outcome of fighting with your employer or complaining to ICAI, trust me.

CA is difficult course because the career of student is in the hand of CAs. You did know this before joining CA. Now don't back down and find shortcuts. I know you are being exploited, but trust me, no one can help you.
