I am commencing my articleship from the start of the new financial year. I cleared IPCC without coaching and just by cram studying before the exams, so apart from accountancy and costing, im conceptually weak in other subjects like law and taxation. I hardly have any friends or seniors in the chartered accountancy field who can help me out.
My new firm deals with mainly tax matters and company law, and my principle tells me that there will be a heavy workload right from the start.
What sort of work do articles normally do, and what are some of the basics that i need to know that will help me become a more competant article and contribute right from the start?
