I am in 2nd year of articleship, and a partner under whom I am registered has left our firm. Can I on this specific basis take transfer? Please reply.

You can’t take transfer on the basis of Transfer of your Principal. It’s not valid reason. As you are article of a partner (CA. Your Principal), you are not article of Partnership firm.
