Articleship - 1st year transfer help?

I am in statutory audit department in a big firm in gurgaon. I have seen articles here taking transfer in the first year as they are not able to focus on final because pressure is immense here. I have done my 7 months articleship and now even i am looking for transfer to a meduim or a small firm so that i can concentrate on my studies.My bosses and seniors are not happy with me .In these months they have always criticised me and said bad things about me .Now if i ask them for transfer is there a chance that they don't allow me ???

Do I have any right if they dont allow me ? because i know that ICAI has allowed us to take transfer withen 1st year.and if I forcefully ask them to change this firm does he (director or partner) has the right to write on my transfer form that I have been a bad or dis obediant article which obviously will have an impact on my future.

contact the institute ...they will provide counselling to you

no As per ICAI u can take transfer witihin one year of atriclehip without any reason, and why your principal will stop you as all of us have to follow the ICAI rules and regulations, and it allows you to take transfer witihin one year

and as per MAYANK , yes its better to take counselling from the institute as per your region., i.e north, central, south , east, west

Hello,

You can take transfer within 1 year without permission of Institute. So Institute can allow you to take transfer within one year.

But a condition is that your principal must agree to allow you to take transfer.

And after one year you need to take permission of both Institute as well as your principal. Thats the rule of ICAI.

So, Institute can allow you to take transfer if your Principal agrees. So, first you have to convince your Principal.

as far as I know big firms comply with rules regarding transfer..its the small firms that do nonsense...so, dont get scared..gather information from your seniors who had quit..and take similar approach..

You can simply drop a resignation mail to HR and mark a cc to ur respective senior manager or manager. Ur resignation will be deemed to be accepted from that date. 30 days notice required as per HR policy(in big fours) and submit the required transfer form to secretary of ur partner on 30th day with application addressed to icai regarding accepting the transfer form without prior intimation since 1 yr free transfer is allowed. And then ur free to move.

u cn take transfer witin one yr without ny reason...and no one can stop u from that.......

dont even think to join small firms u will exp the worst of ur article here u will found no exposure and also the no work culture there the boss will act lik a dictator.........

try to join mid size firm where u will get all round exposure and

critisim and pressure is common every where " boss will nevr say that u had done a good job but he will say even more better cn be done"

so decide with calm and cool mind and dont take hasty decission......

Hi Nitisha You can drift to unlimited ca firms without any restriction in 1 year of articleship. However its gonna spoil ur resume and will affect u to get a good break-through, post qualification. So think twice before making a move.

Hi tanuj, If u principle surrender cop then my friend ur blessed with the free transfer. In such cases institute does not check the period of articleship. So no matter its ur 2 or 3 yr of articleship. However u need to intimate the same to the institute with an application of making a move fr such reason.
