i submitted my article registration forms to the institute in febuary 2012...but nor i have nor has my principal received any correspondence from them. i am not sure whther according to the institute have i started my article period?

You may loging ICAI website for details whther u have register or not. u have to loging member directory and there u can see how many articles registered under the same CA. for to login you are required Memeber No/ DOB of memeber and frm name.

Replace the red cloured NRO/CRO no and u can see whether u are registered or not ?.
