Article training

i have been working in ca firm from 11/01/2013 to till date n i v submitted my all the required documents with institute. but today i got letter from institute that there was no vacancy in my firm on the date of my registration & i should get register under other firm, my question is that the duration of time when i v been working (i.e from 11/01/2013 to till date) will be counted in my articleship period or not? & can i get register in the same firm from current date if that date isnt valid?
