Are IAS applicable in November 2011 exams CA final Accounts?

Indian Accounting Standards converged with IFRS(Ind AS)" , these are itself "Ind AS"..thus as notified by institute these wont be applicable for Nov2011

Isn't IAS mean "international accounting standards"? Has icai mean that ias is not applicable?

IAS do mean International accounting standards..but so as to avoid direct impact of changes in these standards Company law has taken a wise step i.e. it has converted IAS into "IND AS " subject to some changes which we people ought to learn..These standards i.e.(IND AS) are not applicable for Nov.2011 but same would be applicable for may2012 xmas subject to any modification by ICAI.

IFRS or IAS are nothing but IND AS or  u cn say IND AS is nothing but IFRS or IAS

Yes,,ICAI has asked for basic concepts of IAS etc.. nt for sure revised schedule vi is not applicable as notified by institiute
