Appointment of a company as a director in another company

Dear all,

I have two queries regarding Companies Act, 2013 and LLP Act, 2008:

1. Can a Company be a director in another company? If yes, then is company required to obtain DIN ?

2. As per LLP Act, 2008, for the formation of a LLP there must be at least two members having DPIN. 

    But what if the 2nd partner is a company? Is Company required to attain DPIN, or any director of the company     can substitute his DIN for DPIN ?
