application for GST registration

Sir,
One of my friends have a partnership firm and have vat registration in Delhi. Now they want to register for GST with change in one of the partners. Can this be done with
the same old registration or that will be surrendered and fresh application for GST is to be submitted.
Please help me.

u can migrate vat registration to gst registrartion

it can be done with the same registration
