I was registered under gst regime in August 2017 but till August 2018 I have filed nill return. Now as per rules its has been told to file annual return for FY 2017-18. But as I have cancelled my registration how should I file the annual return for the said period?

Yes As per Section 44 of CGST Act , even though you have cancelled rhe registration , you are liable to file Annual Return .
If can't able to login on portal then contact to Juridiction Tax Officer & file your annual return

Yez you are required to file the annual return
You have to file your annual return whether your GSTIN is cancelled or not, but before filling the annual return make it clear that you have filed all the GSTR 3B and GSTR 1 during the financial year prior to cancellation. If ,not filed then please filed it before filling the annual return. Also check whether you have filed the Final Return GSTR 10 for the cancelled GSTIN.
