Announcement on Views/ Suggestions on Corporate Affairs Standard - (17-03-2009)

Appreciating the need of the profession, the Council recently approved in principle, to issue Corporate Affairs Standards on various areas of corporate law and practices and advised the Corporate Laws Committee to prepare such Corporate Affairs Standards for consideration of the Council.

In compliance, the Committee has formulated draft Corporate Affairs Standards on the following areas of corporate law and practices:

Corporate Affairs Standard on Business Valuation
Corporate Affairs Standard on Auditor’s appointment, retirement and removal
Corporate Affairs Standards on Certification under MCA 21

Members are requested to give their valuable suggestions/comments on the aforesaid draft at the earliest and latest by 15th April, 2009. Comments may be sent by e-mail with the subject line “VIEWS/SUGGESTIONS ON CORPORATE AFFAIRS STANDARD” to the following: -

THE ABOVE STANDARDS (Corporate Affairs Standard) SHOULD BE FIRST APPLICABLE TO MINISTRY OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS IN THEIR FUNCTIONING AND THERE BY BECOMING PUPPET OF ICAI

Excellent. You have nailed properly. Dont know how the Govt can bare such high handed, arbitrary and chengis khan like attitude of ICAI. If ICAI can take up all matters the Govt. should better dissolve all other profession ( CS, LAW, ICWA, MBA every thing should be wound up and there shall be only one profession CA.). ICAI may also start thinking to encoarch the areas of Medicine and Engineering!!!!!!!11
