AMENDMENT IN CAT (SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES AND OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE OF THE CHAIRPERSON & OTHER MEMBERS) RULES, 2009

Competition Appellate Tribunal (Salaries and Allowances and other terms and conditions of service of the Chairperson and other Members) Amendment Rules, 2011 - Amendment in rule 5

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (mc) of sub-section (2) of section 63 read with sub-section (1) of section 53G of the Competition Act, 2002 (12 of 2003), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, further to amend the Competition Appellate Tribunal (Salaries and Allowances and other terms and conditions of service of the Chairperson and other Members) Rules, 2009, namely :—

 (1)  These rules may be called the Competition Appellate Tribunal (Salaries and Allowances and other terms and conditions of service of the Chairperson and other Members) Amendment Rules, 2011.

 (2)  They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Competition Appellate Tribunal (Salaries and Allowances and other terms and conditions of service of the Chairperson and other Members) Rules, 2009, in rule 5, in sub-rule (1),—

  (i)  the brackets, figures and words "(1) Subject to the provisions of sub-rule (2)", shall be omitted;

 (ii)  in the proviso, for the words "to received"; the words "to receive" shall be substituted.
