Can form 112 altered as I have filled date of joining article ship as date of commencement of the other course? It's been 11 months since I joined articleship and my formm 112 is not approved . Can u please help??

| Here is the position on corrections/alterations in Form 112 for CA articleship: 1. Before Submission to ICAI: Any correction can be made freely before the form is submitted to the Regional Office. Cross out the error, make the correction, and get it countersigned by the Principal (CA) if the correction is significant. 2. After Submission to ICAI Regional Office: - If the form has been submitted but not yet processed, write to the Regional Office immediately requesting a correction, attaching a corrected form or a letter explaining the error - Most Regional Offices accept corrections if raised promptly before the approval is issued 3. If Approval Already Issued Based on Incorrect Form: - Write to the Regional Office with a fresh Form 112 with the correct details and a covering letter explaining the error in the earlier submission - Attach supporting documents (enrollment proof of the correct course, etc.) - In most cases, ICAI accommodates genuine corrections since the underlying intent is to seek proper permission 4. Common Errors in Form 112: - Wrong course name or institution name: Correct before submission - Wrong dates: Can affect the validity period of permission — correct immediately - Principal's signature missing: Not valid without it 5. Contact Point: Reach out to your ICAI Regional Office directly (EIRC/WIRC/NIRC/SIRC/CIRC as applicable) by email or in person. Include your membership/registration number for faster resolution. 6. Important: Form 112 is the only valid permission document — ensure it reflects the actual course you are pursuing to avoid compliance issues. |
