alteration in registration details
whether it is possible to alter the trade name, address or other basic details if wrongly fed while registration?

Sir, yes it is possible as per section 28 28. Amendment of registration.
[1] Every registered person and a person to whom a Unique Identity Number has been assigned shall inform the proper officer of any changes in the information furnished at the time of registration or subsequent thereto, in such form and manner and within such period as may be prescribed.

Yes you can rectify errors while registeration in gst.You must submit FORM GST REG-14 along with documents. The GST officer will verify and approve within 15 days in FORM GST REG-15. The change will take effect from the date of occurrence of the event.
