according to IT act, Children Educational Allowance- 100 p/m & Hostel EXpenditure is 300 p/m exempted max for 2 children ,but in some books 250 p/m is exempted for 2 children. i'm a bit confused, plz help..

As per Section 10(14) Children Education Allowance is Rs.100 per month per child upto a maximum of 2 children.And Hostel Allowance is Rs. 300 per month per child upto a maximum of 2 children.
I have not found anything else relating to this matter.
So don't get confused .
There is no confusion.
Children education allowance: 100 per month per child to a max. of 2 children
Hostel allowance: 300 per month per child to a max of 2 children

hostel expenditure allowance is Rs.300pm for 2 child
plz always prefer new edition books for tax................ok
