If after completion of articleship your principal refuses to sign form 108 and refuses to relieve you, what are your rights? Can some assistance be got from somewhere?
If your principal makes you work even after your articleship and excess leave is over is that legal?
What support can be had from the institute? Will the institute support the student?
If yes, which number to contact?
My articleship inclusive of my excess leave will be completed in december 2011. I will be presenting my form 108 in december. If my principal refuses to sign then i want to know how to tackle it. Please help.

Keep photo copies of your daily work,attendance record and copy of cheque given to you against articleship stipend as proof . Record by cell of conversation with your principal........at the time you will table your form 108 for signature in front of your principal........then you can take step against him.......you will not able to prove the same without the proofs........then you can write to ICAI. Otherwise ICAI will give decision in favour of your principal or against you if you will write to ICAI as per CA Regulation 1988 (updated 2008)..............
