I need some advise from seniors here.I have'nt cleared my group 1 of ipcc, but i was working with a firm & getting monthly stipend of 8k.However,after working for 6 months,i'm not satisfied with what i've learnt;i think i have'nt learned much.

Now,due to cost cutting,my sir has announced the revised stipend rates as 5k per month.i'm thinking of qutting this firm bcuz i'm not satisfied here.I would like to work somewhere where i can get good exposure & a decent stipend.Where should i try?Big 4 or mid sized firms?

I'd be highly thankful to persons from mumbai who can recommend a ca firm.

First for all, you have just started your articleship nd as i m concern it will take more 6 mores to judge yourself that how much u learn.
and secondly as u r saying the firm doing cost cutting nd reduce your stipend so for that what i suggest if the work with that CA Firm is good enough and they are giviing time for ur examination then i think you should not leave that firm.
and as u concern about the Big 4 then remember u dnt get the times for ur coachings & studies as much that u get is medium size of firms.

And thats the time dn't look for the money just concentrate on the Degree of CA.

now the all decisions are yours, thats just an advice from my side.

BEST OF VERY LUCK for future... yes

thnx govind.i've been working here for 8 months.technically,my articlesip has not started,i'm working here as an employee & learning abt audits.but professionally i'm not satisfied because work is very repetitive & only a selected few are getting a chance to learn, not everyone.

i know money is not the only crtiteria but learning is also limited.its like the seniors give work to juniors according to their preference,so some of us suffer;in fact there r are times when we are sitting idle the whole day because no1 delegates work to us.and if we ask for work we are told there is no work! (office politics behind it).Because of this 4 of my colleagues left already.

can you tell me how it is like in mid sized firms like haribhakti & others?

i want to practise in future,hence i'm looking for a mid sized firm & not a big4..
