Hello everyone

i am planning to appear for CA final Nov 2018 attempt first group (old syllabus) second group cleared, but after a very longtime. I had taken classes long back (2008) and I am confused as to how to start afresh.. I want to take classes but that's not easy for me as I am a mother of 1 year old baby..

want your advice as with the syllabus changes in All subjects can I self study, if yes wch material should I refer? Also if I think about taking classes there are no live classes available now for November 2018 attempt , are satellite classes or pen drive classes worth if yes then wch ones

i have not much friends to connect within CA fraternity so need your valuable suggestions and advices and would really appreciate if we could stay connected

awaiting replies as want to get started at the earliest as I want to get through and get my long pending CA degree

As regarding books...

I shall prefer 'Padhuka' books...as those books will be very good source for gaining knowledge and practicality on academics issues for self study individuals...

U can purchase those from either www.shrigurukripa.com or from wolterkluverindia.com...

As I'm a Intermediate student...I don't have much expertise on final syllabus...

Hope I can help from my side...
Hlw sister... First advice convert in new syllabus for ur remaining first group class.... And nowadays best faculty pen drive class is available.... First for FR take praveen jindal sir pen drive lectures.... For SFM take aashish kalra sir or mayank kothari sir pen drive.... For law CA Darshan khare pen drive and for audit CA AARTI N lahoti.... U can watch all faculty demo videos on YouTube.... Bdw they all r best faculty.... And now don't stuck in old syllabus.... New course syllabus question asked in this attempt very easy and relevant compared to old syllabus... Start ur study and all the best

hai, i have given my attempt of Group 1 in May 17 but not satisfied, will you @ divakar suggest me to change to new syllabus for nov 18 attempt

Hey if u hv already taken class then also i must recommend switch to new course... It is beneficial and for result purposes also... I am giving also this attempt in old course and regretting that why i not choose new course after seeing question paper of old and new course.... They just harassed to the extreme level of old course students also.... And for new course they just checked basic knowledge.... Consolidation simple question total 26 marks... And no lengthy paper in new course.... Definitely go for new course... U hv to read only IND as.... But that is also for ur practical knowledge

THANKS FOR YOUR SUGGESTION. I WANT KNOW ONCE AGAIN IS IT REALLY ICAI DOING OLD COURSE STUDENTS FACE HARDSHIP?

Just ask from all old students in this attempt... Yesterday costing paper 23 pages in old course and in new course just 12 pgs.... And law paper of old course so lengthy also... Just download all questions paper from file section on CCI... And see them
u never know may be in next attempt old course papers can be easier...u can't predict what icai is about to do
Phr v old course me rahne ka koi benefits nahi hai av... Market me demand v ab new course walo ke honge... Better go with new course.... Sab kuch to same hi hai... Bus IND AS hai.... Wo to waise v aapko practical knowledge kr liye karns hi h av.... And elective paper is gud one

I have cleared group 1 so i will give advice regarding books which I have used for clearing exams. For FR paper read from Parveen Sharma Sir and do the questions of Practice Manual. For sfm Ashish Kalra sir book is enough. For audit read from Pankaj garg sir's book as it contains the same language as of study material and for Law I have studied only from Institute's study material. So you may refer to same,

Agreed with response of members

for grp 2, i have studied with help of vishal bhattad sir for idt and bb sir for dt. both pendrive lectures
