Quick Summary
When a newly incorporated private limited company acquires an old private company, the acquiring company's name and incorporation date will generally remain the same. The acquired company's identity ceases to exist post-takeover. However, the outcome can differ in cases of mergers or amalgamations, where a new entity might be formed, or both companies might retain separate legal identities if it's a share purchase creating a holding-subsidiary relationship.

The COI of the company which takes over the target company will remain post-acquisition.

The name and date of incorporation of that company which takes over the other company will stay.

Thank you
Three Situations

If You Do Merger ,Then The Acquirer Name Will Continue ,Acquiree will be dissolved

If Amalgamation,Then New Company Will Be Formed and Both Companies will loose their identity

In Case of Just Share Purchase and Creates Holding - Subsy Relationship then both can continue with their separate legal identity
